Challenging & Encouraging Catholic Men for over 20 years

Text Box: We have begun preparation for the 21st annual Gathering of Men on January 20-22, 2011. This retreat provides an opportunity to deepen your faith and spend quality time with godly men with a mission. The Gathering will begin at 7:00 pm on Friday, January 14th and end by noon on Sunday.

This retreat offers an opportunity to deepen your relationships: with yourself, family, and God. It is not easy for men to live a life in mission with the challenges in our world. Men need support and they find it at the Gathering of Men. This is a great opportunity to get 2012 off to a great start. The last 11 years between 250 to 300 men have attended each year, therefore early registration is suggested.

The beautiful setting of the YMCA of the Rockies in Estes Park will host our retreat. A waiting list will begin after 300 men have registered. Rooms are in Longs Peak Lodge. Longs Peak is brand new and each room has two queen beds. Every room has its own private bath. We have cabins available that differ in size, availability, and price. Call us for availability. Several handicap rooms are reserved. Please indicate your rooming preference on the registration. The cost of the weekend starts at $155 per man, which includes lodging, three meals on Saturday and one meal on Sunday. If you cancel or are a no-show and we cannot fill your space, a $70 fee will be assessed.

The focus of The Gathering centers on healing and reconciliation. It also has become a great time for fathers and sons to enhance their relationship. We have courageous men to share their faith journey. Msgr. Ken Leone and Fr. John Lager OFM Cap, will again facilitate the retreat.
.
Please call 303-424-5075 or e-mail hoeltingdj@gmail.com with questions. We have extra brochures for your churches and clubs. This would be a great retreat for a parish men’s club. We are a non-profit corporation, and can accept any donations above your registration fee which would be tax deductible. Thanks to the generosity of others, scholarships are available for this retreat.

We have much work to do in bringing the light of Christ into the world. The theme this year is “So stop lying to each other. Tell the truth to your neighbor. We all belong to the same body. ” Our prayer is that you would take advantage of the Gathering of Men retreat to increase your faith, hope, and love. We are looking forward to having you with us on the mountain. God Bless!

                                                                                        Fraternally,
                                                                                        Denis Hoelting
